Submission Guidelines
Important note: The following submission instructions apply to the
main event, i.e., VALUETOOLS. Authors who want to submit contributions to the
associated workshops should consult the respective workshop webpage for
submission deadlines, paper format, and related information.

Paper Submission Deadline: April 20, 2009
Notification of Acceptance: July 6, 2009
Camera Ready Deadline: July 27, 2009
Conference Dates: October 20-22, 2009
1. Prepare your paper
Paper format: Submitted papers must be formatted according to the
ACM
conference proceedings format. Only PDF files will be accepted. Page limit
is 10 pages. Please note that the camera-ready version will conform to the same
guidelines as the submission. Authors of accepted regular papers will be charged
an additional overlength fee if their paper exceeds the above page limit.
2. Upload the paper in Easychair
Submitted papers should be uploaded through the
Easychair
conference management system. If you don't have an account on Easychair yet, the
above link will also allow you to create one. Please prepare the manuscript
according to the above guidelines. Once you upload your manuscript, you will be
able to update it until the submission deadline. Papers eligible for the best
student paper award should be explicitly flagged as "student papers" in the
submission page, and they are required to enlist a student as a first author.

3. Register for the Conference
Early registration will open in May 2009. If your paper is accepted, you
will be asked to register. One author for each paper must register at a
non-student rate, even if all authors are students. One registration covers two
papers for those authors who have multiple papers accepted. Please go to the
Registration page to register for the conference.
IMPORTANT: Your paper will not be included in the proceedings unless you
have successfully registered.
4. Final Paper Submission
Within 72 hours of your successful registration, you will receive a message
with instructions on how to upload your camera-ready paper(s). If you do not
receive your instructions, please contact the conference the Conference
Coordinator. The camera-ready paper(s) will be formatted according to the same
guidelines as the submission. After you have uploaded your final paper, you will
be asked to fill out and sign a Copyright Form, to be returned via email or fax.
